Description
This is a fabulous timber box, made from blackwood, most likely in Tasmania and dating to around 1920s-30s.
It is in very good original condition having lovely patina and some fiddle back graining to the "page ends".
It measures approximately 24.5cm x 17.5cm x 5.8cm.
A beautiful piece and most useful, being a secret safe that is accessed by removing the spine, then sliding forward a secret compartment. Very James Bond!
