Description

A scarce early 17th century Apostle Spoon, hallmarks are quite rubbed though the style and punch mark of the leopard's head in the bowl indicate a date of circa 1620.

The apostle is St. John holding the cup of sorrows. 

The spoon is in very good condition with traces of gilding still showing on the apostle's halo. The bowl is nicely shaped with some wear as you'd expect.

A nice example overall.
