Description
A lovely example of a late 18th century sugar basket by Burrage Davenport, a specialist basket maker. Fully hallmarked for London, 1784, the basket has a typical beaded border and foot. It has a lovely contemporary crest and may have had a glass liner, though this was not always the case.
