Description

This delightful portrait miniature of a young child is set in a circular gold and gem set frame of pastes with a bow at the top. It hangs in a larger oval frame on a stand.

The overall measurements of the frame are approximately 9cm x 7cm and the portrait miniature measures approximately 3.3cm in diameter.

It is a really beautifully observed miniature with highlights in gouache. I'd say it dates circa 1900-1910.
