A fine and early Britannia Standard Silver Lidded Tankard having contemporary initials and date on the handle but with later Victorian Chinoiserie Decoration.
It is fully hallmarked on the body and lid with maker's mark for London, 1700, maker William Gamble.
While later decorated, the chinoiserie is delightfully engraved in 17th century style.
