Description
An absolutely stonking pair of cast Georgian Sterling Salts by the highly regarded makers, Thomas Whipham and Charles Wright.
These beautifully made salts still retain traces of the original gilding and feature three lion heads at the top of the paw feet, wrapped with tails around each. Between each lion head is a garland of flowers.
While the hallmarks are quite rubbed, the very distinctive hallmark of Whipham and Wright can be identified. Additionally, each is engraved with a crown for a Baron, with B below.
The gauge is fantastic, nearly half a kilo between the two.
