Fine Pair of Georgian Sterling Silver Candlesticks, Sheffield 1786/8
Description
A very fine and scarce pair of Sheffield Hallmarked Candlesticks by specialist maker John Parsons and Company. Each has an contemporary engraved armorial of a rooster, both on the base and sconce of each candlestick.
The Anthemion design around the base of the stem and underneath the collar are a nice touch, as are the rosettes just under the removable sconces.
A delightful pair.
