Scottish Provincial Sterling Silver George III Pepper, c.1800-20.
$500.00
Description
This Georgian Sterling Silver Castor is Scottish Made, likely Glasgow but possibly from another provincial town. It is hallmarked with thistle and duty mark only on the base.
It dates circa 1800-1820 and is a delightful piece, that without the cover can double up as an eggcup!
The gadrooned border is a nice touch to an otherwise fairly plain inverted egg form.
Height: 8.6cm
Weidght: 61 grams
