Description

An extremely fine French Silver Box made by the renowned firm of Boin Taburet in Paris.

George Boin, antique dealer and jeweller Emile Taburet specialised in Louis XV revival work and this box is in the 18th century style containing what I believe is an 18th century piece of French hard paste porcelain, finely decorated with floral motifs.

It measures approximately 8.3cm in diameter at the base, while the lid is 9cm in diameter. It stands 4.4cm tall and the interior is beautifully gilded.  It weighs 189.7 grams.

Traces of the silver gilt remain on the outside and the box is marked for Boin Taburet on the bottom as the photos show.

A beautiful box, high quality and very collectable.
